Speaking Monday in Montpelier, Shumlin and leaders from the House and Senate said expanding the proposal to allow the use of bronze plans and letting employees[sic] with more than 50 employees shop outside the proposed health care exchanges would further Vermont's goal of creating a single-payer health care system.
Last year Vermont passed legislation to create the health care exchange called for under the federal health reform and then by 2017 to a single-payer, government-backed plan.
